New Bluehost WordPress Pro Package – Why You Should Consider Upgrading

In this post, we’re going to talk about the new Bluehost WordPress Pro hosting package and talk about some of the features and see whether or not it’s worth it for you to upgrade your hosting plan.

If you have a blog or website whether it’s on Bluehost or another hosting provider, we’re going to talk about a brand new package that Bluehost just came out with and some of the features that they’re offering so you can decide if it’s going to be worth it to you to upgrade your hosting plan.

I just got an email from Bluehost saying they have a new WordPress Pro package and encouraged me to check it out. I spent a lot of time researching it and it actually looks like it could be a really beneficial option for a lot of you out there who are really starting to gain some momentum with your blog.

Or maybe you’re not gaining momentum and maybe there are some reasons why it’s not happening. We’ll talk about how this can be fixed in this post.

Go to the Bluehost website so we can browse through some of the features that they’re offering for their WordPress Pro package.

They’re claiming that it’s their best managed WordPress hosting package starting at $19.95 a month. For those of you who have been on that shared hosting plan, you’re probably thinking yourself immediately “that’s not for me!” you’re not going to spring for $20 hosting, you’re loving your $3.95 a month hosting plan that you’re currently on.

But let me talk about why this is actually might be worth your money.

I talk to people a lot about investing in their business, making their money work for them. Money makes more money, even when it comes to blogging. If you’re smart with your money and you invest in yourself and your business, then you’ll actually see your business scale even further.

The big mistake that I see from a lot of bloggers is this. They take their cheapest route with the cheapest hosting or no hosting (free websites), they don’t pay for any plugins, they don’t pay for any software, they don’t pay for any tools, they don’t pay for books, they don’t invest in courses or anything to help them learn. They just think that they’re gonna ride the free train to paradise.

That is not going to happen!

Every website on the internet today that makes a significant amount of income spends money on tools, resources, or premium products. I can guarantee you that.

So, when I see prices like this, instead of thinking “I can’t afford that,” I think “how can I afford that?”

How can I afford to pay this $19.95 and how is this going to make me even more money if I upgrade?

Let’s talk about that really quick! Let’s see what their other offers are.

Right now, they have different plans such as the Build Plan at $19.95 a month, Grow at $29.95, so let’s look at what these plans have.

Most likely, starting out with this is the smart thing to do. Just start in incremental steps. There’s no reason for you if you want a shared hosting plan, to say “Wow, this is awesome! Let’s go to Scale!” There’s really no reason to do that.

Take the steps, go to Build, and once you’ve outgrown Build, move to Grow. Once you’ve outgrown Grow, move to Scale. That’s how the process should work. There’s no reason to go crazy.

Let’s look at Build features. Jetpack Site Analytics – we don’t really care about that (I don’t like those anyway, I use Google Analytics because I think it’s a lot more accurate). It does have the marketing center, though.

They also have 100 free premium themes. If you think about it, you can usually get premium themes at $59 and could go up to like a hundred. So, depending on that, we could get ourselves a premium theme for $59 essentially for a cost of the subscription. There’s value right there!

It also has scheduled backups (that’s nice). There are malware detection and removal which is nice, as well. You’d probably end up paying somewhere around $10 a month for a service like this so we need to take into account the value there. They also have the domain privacy protection which could also be an extra $20 a year so there’s some more value there.

All plans include unlimited websites so if you want to create multiple websites, you can have as many as you want. If you buy more domains and make more WordPress websites, no problem!

They also have unlimited domains, unlimited subdomains, as well as unlimited web storage which is a big thing. There’s a lot of hosting providers out there that have limits. One of the negatives I talk about in Siteground even though I highly recommend them is their storage is limited. They might only have 10GB of storage. Unlimited storage helps so you can compose as many articles, pictures, videos, or whatever on your website.

You can also get as much traffic as you want. No traffic limits – this is a big one because site speed is actually a ranking factor with Google. When you get more visitors visiting your site but you don’t have a lot of traffic capabilities, it will slow your site down and hurt your Google rankings. That’s a big feature right there to take into consideration.

There is a big thing that they’re pushing with their new services – the marketing center. With their marketing center, they can give you some access to traffic analytics but they’re also saying that they’ll give you some SEO information which could be huge!

They’re giving you some on-site SEO information that could tell you how to speed up your blog, maybe you need to compress images, maybe you’ll need to give more social shares, etc. and apparently you’ll get a nice dashboard to see all of that information.

Like I mentioned, you’ll get limitless pro themes. You also get 24-7 support.

What are their top 3 features?

  1. They have the marketing center where you can manage your SEO, social media, and email traffic channels all in one dashboard.
  2. You also get detailed analytics so you can sync your Google analytics and look at that within your WordPress dashboard (which is really nice).
  3. Lastly, this is probably the biggest reason why you would consider this option- the improved site speed. All WordPress Pro servers are built with a solid state drive meaning your website outperforms websites hosted on traditional HDD servers. They do not oversubscribe the number of users on these servers, which means more of the server resources are available to you when you need it. So basically, when you get more traffic to your website, you have more resources to easily accept that traffic so that your site doesn’t crash and slow down. It would load faster, too, which could give you an SEO boost.

Those features are something that would help you out a lot, meaning, the marketing centers can double your analytics, the improved site speed, the free premium themes.

If you choose to upgrade your site from the shared hosting plan, it gives you access to some tools that would help you out, then for $19.95 a month, I actually think that’s a pretty solid deal. If you think about it this way, you’re probably spending right now about 4 or 5 dollars a month. That’s about 15 dollars increase to spend. How are you going to make up that 15 dollars back?

Well, if you think about it, if you’re getting smarter with your analytics, SEO, you’re going to increase your Google traffic, which can increase your revenue. If you have a faster site, you’re going to improve your SEO which is going to increase your rankings which could help you rank higher.

So, if you think about the benefits here, such as getting a nicer theme, your blog looks and runs better, faster and smoother, you can handle more traffic, you’re not going to be bogged down with storage limits, then this could be worth it for you. That extra 15 dollars a month is worth it for you and those increases can help you increase your traffic and make more revenue. And yes, it’s going to pay for itself.

If you are in the in-between stage where you’re thinking of getting off that shared plan, start making more money, have a faster site, get improved SEO, then this could be a very valid option for you. I think I’m actually going to test this out on one of my websites to see how I like the performance, run some speed tests and other things to see how I like it.

Make sure you check back to the website because I’m going to make some posts and videos to show you the results that I’m getting with the new WordPress Pro plan.

Let me know in the comments below what you’re considering doing and at what stage you’re at.

I would like to chat with you and see or get your feedback about what you think about this because I’d love to hear from someone else’s perspective about how they feel about this package.

For me, it looks pretty enticing. I might test it out. I think that the boost can actually help me increase my revenue a little bit.

For me, it seems like a great option. And I’m curious to know what you think about it.

Make sure you check back for future blog posts because I’ll be giving some feedback about this. I also have more articles on this website that will help you learn how to use technology to build an online business to create a life of freedom.
